Russian Custard Recipe
Russian custard is a luscious treat that’s encouraged as early as Stage 2 on the GAPS diet. Egg yolks contain vitamins A, D, E, and K, which are crucial for overall health and immune function. These vitamins are fat-soluble, meaning they work best when combined with healthy fats, making them a perfect match for the custard's ingredients.
Egg yolks' nutritional profile supports brain function, helps regulate hormones, and aids in nutrient absorption.
Delicious when frozen (though some nutrients are lost), it’s a nourishing ice cream treat.
